A finished tree with a dull, leaning top
The tree is trimmed, the lights are on, and the top branch is still bare. Most toppers are heavy enough to lean, or so solid they read as a dark blob from across the room.
- Lightweight plastic at 8 in, so a slim top branch holds it upright
- Coiled spring base grips the branch instead of balancing on it
- Open glitter ribs bounce light back rather than blocking the strand behind them
What it does, and how
Four details that decide how a topper looks from the far side of the room.
Eight points, uneven on purpose
One long point up, a longer one down, and six radiating around them. The tall vertical axis gives the tree a finished crown.
Glitter over an open frame
Fine glitter and chunky sequin flakes coat every rib. Light passes through the lattice gaps instead of stopping at a solid shape.
Coiled spring base
Slides straight down over the top branch and grips it. Works on real trees and artificial ones with a thin leader branch.
Gold or silver
Gold is warm yellow glitter all over. Silver adds iridescent flakes in blue, violet, pink and green across the center.
Nothing to plug in
No cord trailing down the back of the tree, no battery box to hide. It borrows the sparkle from your existing strand.
What it doesn't do
It isn't pre-lit — no bulbs, battery or switch. The points are slim glitter-finished plastic, not metal or glass, so they can bend or break if squeezed. Indoor use only.
The last thing you do on trim night
Three moments where the topper actually earns its spot.
Who this topper is for
Great for
- Trees with a thin leader branch that won't hold a heavy topper
- Rooms where the tree is seen from a distance
- Gold or silver-and-white color schemes
- Decorators who don't want another cord on the tree
Not the right pick if
- You want a topper that lights up on its own
- You need metal or glass that survives rough storage
- The topper will be within reach of small children
- You're decorating an outdoor or covered-porch tree
Open ribs that let the light through
Each point is a raised faceted spine with thin spoked ribs and open gaps between them — not a solid molded star.
- Fine glitter plus chunky sequin flakes on every surface, including the spring
- A raised center where all eight ribs meet, catching the brightest glints
- Silver carries multicolor iridescent flakes; gold stays warm and monochrome
Glitter star, pre-lit topper or a bow?
The two things most people put on the top branch instead.

Getting the first setup right
Three things that make the difference between a star that sits straight and one that leans.
Unpack over a table
Loose glitter can shed during handling. Open the box over a hard surface you can wipe down, not over the rug.
Clear the last few inches
Pull ornaments and light clips off the top branch first, so the spring slides down without catching on anything.
Tuck a light behind it
Set one bulb from the top strand just behind the star's center. That's where the glitter throws the most glints.
One star, ready for the top branch
- 1 x glittering star tree topper (gold or silver, per selection)

What people ask most
Will it fit my tree?
It seats on the top branch with a coiled spring base, so it suits real trees and artificial ones with a slim leader branch. The star stands 8 in (20 cm) tall. We don't have a branch-diameter spec for it.
Does it light up?
No. There are no bulbs, battery box, cord or switch. The glitter and sequin flakes reflect the string lights already on your tree, so you'll want a strand near the top.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
Keep it out of reach. The points are slim glitter-finished plastic that can bend or break, loose glitter can shed, and it isn't shatterproof or child-proof. Keep it away from candles and heat sources too.
How do I clean it?
Dust it with a soft dry brush or dry microfiber cloth only. Don't soak, wash or scrub it — water and solvents lift the glitter off the ribs and spring.
What's the difference between gold and silver?
Gold is warm yellow glitter throughout, all one tone. Silver is bright silver glitter with multicolor iridescent sequin flakes — blue, violet, pink and green — scattered across the center and inner points.
What comes in the box?
One glittering star tree topper in the finish you select, gold or silver. No lights, hardware or extra parts are included or needed.
