Most first bras are adult bras, made smaller
The bras that are small enough for a ten-year-old are usually shrunken adult ones: wires, a clasp behind her back, pads that fall out in the wash and a tag at the neck. And age-based sizing ignores how differently two girls the same age are built.
- No wires, hooks, clasps or sliders to fumble with in a locker room
- Seamless knit with laser-cut edges, so nothing shows under a white shirt
- Four sizes by body weight, 50 to 121 lb, instead of by birthday
What's different about it, part by part
Every piece of this was decided for a body that's still changing.
Knitted in one piece
No seams, stitching or elastic ridges anywhere, so nothing presses a line through a t-shirt or leaves a red mark on her ribs.
Double-lined front
A second layer of the same knit runs across the front for coverage under white uniforms and thin tops. No removable pads to shift or disappear.
Longline with a high back
The hem sits several inches down her ribs and the back is a full scoop, so it stays put through PE instead of riding up.
Wide, flat straps
Roughly 1.5 to 2 inches across and knitted into the body. No sliders or adjusters, and nothing thin enough to roll or dig in.
Tagless and pull-on
Size and care are printed inside the back instead of on a label. She pulls it on over her head, front facing forward.
What it doesn't do
It isn't a cup-sized or underwire bra, there's no padding to add shape, and the straps don't adjust. It's not a posture corrector or a medical garment.
Fits into a normal school day
What it looks like on the hanger, on her, and up close.
Who this first bra is for
Great for
- She's asked for a first bra and feels self-conscious about it
- White school shirts that show every seam and ridge
- Girls sensitive to tags, seams and tight elastic
- PE days when a crop top rides up
Not the right pick if
- You want cup sizes or wire support
- She wants padding that adds shape
- You size by age or chest measurement
A front panel that's lined, not padded
Lift the hem and you'll find a second layer of the same knit sewn in at the top.
- Two layers of the same lightweight knit across the whole front
- Sewn in at the top, with no pad pocket and nothing to fall out
- Laser-cut hem lies flat on the ribs, with no elastic band or binding

Getting the first one right
Three things that make the first week go smoothly.
Weigh her first
Order by weight, not age. Between two sizes, size up. A first bra that feels tight is the one she stops wearing.
Let her pick the color
Six colors, and the outer packaging says nothing about what's inside. Letting her choose makes the first one feel like hers.
Wash cold, hang dry
Skip the dryer and the fabric softener from the first wash. Heat and softener break down the spandex that gives the knit its stretch.
One bra, and nothing that announces it
- 1 x seamless longline crop bra in the chosen size and color
- Plain, unbranded outer packaging with nothing on the label describing the contents

What people ask most
How do I pick her size?
Go by her weight, not her age. S fits 50-66 lb, M 66-83 lb, L 83-99 lb, XL 99-121 lb. Between two sizes, size up, since the knit has plenty of stretch.
Will it show under her school shirt?
The knit is one continuous piece and the edges are laser-cut instead of hemmed, so there's no stitching, elastic ridge or hardware to press a line through a shirt. The front is lined for coverage.
Is there any padding?
No. The front is double-lined with the same knit for coverage only. There are no cups, no removable pads and no pad pockets, so nothing shifts, bunches or goes missing in the wash.
She's sensitive to tags and seams. Will it bother her?
There's no tag at the neck, so size and care are printed inside the back. No wires, hooks, sliders or seams either, and the straps are wide and flat rather than thin.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors, then hang to dry. No tumble dryer, no fabric softener, no bleach. Heat and softener break down the stretch.
What arrives in the package?
One seamless longline crop bra in the size and color you choose, in plain unbranded outer packaging. Nothing on the label describes what's inside, so she can open it herself.
