Sticky decals, peeling tape, one more outlet
Holiday window decor usually means adhesive decals that leave residue, tape that lifts paint off the frame, or a string of lights hunting for a free socket near the window. In a rental, all three are a problem.
- Holds by static alone — nothing sticky touches the pane
- Comes off at the end of the season and goes back on its liner
- No cord, no socket, no battery to swap

What it does, and how
One printed sheet of static film, and a few things worth knowing before it goes up.
Static, not sticky
The film holds to clean, smooth glass by static alone. No adhesive, no tape, no nails in the frame.
Lift and re-place it
Slide it until the rooftops sit level with the sash. Peel it back and set it down again if it lands crooked.
Reads from both sides
Double-sided cling design, so you mount it inside the room and the village still faces the right way from the sidewalk.
Printed amber glow
Every window and doorway is washed in warm amber, with a decorated tree left of center. The cozy evening look is ink, not wiring.
One wide panel
At 15.75 in across, one sheet spans a standard window sash instead of a scatter of small stickers.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't light up. The glow is printed artwork — no LEDs, bulbs, batteries or wiring. It's also not a privacy or UV-blocking film, and it's not rated for outdoor weather exposure.
Fits into a normal December evening
Where a single 15.75 in panel tends to land in a real room.

Who this cling is for
Great for
- Renters who can't put tape or nails on window frames
- Apartment windows facing a street or sidewalk
- Smooth, clean glass on a standard sash
- Decorating with kids, no ladder or outlet needed
Not the right pick if
- Your windows are frosted, pebbled or textured
- You want decor that actually gives off light
- It needs to go on an outdoor-facing surface

Watercolor edges that don't look die-cut
The art is a continuous street of about ten European townhouses, printed edge-soft like wet watercolor on paper.
- Red brick, cream, sage, blue-gray, blush and warm gray facades under thick white snow
- A cream church tower with arched belfry openings and a dark pointed spire near center-right
- A pale blue-white snowbank base with faint snowflake dots floating over the scene

Tips for a clean first install
Three minutes of prep is the difference between a flat panel and a sliding one.
Start with clean glass
Wipe the pane with a damp cloth and let it dry fully. Dust and film are what make a static cling slide.
Work center to edge
Press from the middle outward with your palm or a card so air bubbles push out the sides instead of getting trapped.
Check it from outside
Step out to the sidewalk once it's up. It's the quickest way to see if the rooftops sit level.

What people ask most
Will it fit my window?
The sheet is 7.87 x 15.75 in (20 x 40 cm), with the village printed across 7.12 x 14.97 in and a clear white margin around it. One panel spans a standard sash — measure your pane first.
Do the windows really light up?
No. The warm amber glow in the houses and the Christmas tree is printed artwork. There are no LEDs, bulbs, batteries or wiring, and nothing to plug in.
What is it made of, and does it use glue?
It's polyvinyl chloride (PVC) static cling film on a paper backing liner. There's no adhesive — it holds to the glass by static, which is why you can lift and reposition it.
How do I clean it?
Wipe gently with a soft damp cloth. Skip solvents and abrasive cleaners, which can damage the printed film.
What comes in the package?
One snowy village window cling sheet on its paper backing liner. Keep the liner — the cling presses back onto it for flat storage after the season.
Can I put it on a storm door or outside the glass?
It's not rated for outdoor or exterior-facing weather exposure. Use it on the inside face of smooth, clean glass. It won't hold reliably on frosted, pebbled, textured or dusty panes, or on walls, wood or fabric.
